Capital Airport Group donates $145,000

Capital Airport Group, the developer of Canberra suburb Denman Prospect, has today provided another $145,000 to Homes for Homes. Capital Airport Group donates a percentage from all land sales in Denman Prospect to Homes for Homes and is proud that Denman Prospect is Australia’s first Homes for Homes suburb. Denman Prospect is forecast to donate over $1.5m over the life of the project.

Nick McDonald Crowley, Director Project Delivery, Denman Prospect, said Capital Airport Group is honoured to provide ongoing support to such an important cause for those in need in the Canberra community.

“We are pleased to be giving back to our community with every sale we make at Denman Prospect,” Mr McDonald Crowley said.

“A Homes for Homes registration is included in the title for every property. This means each time a property is sold, 0.1 per cent of the sale price is donated to Homes for Homes. This also applies to the builders developing multi-unit sites in Denman Prospect. They will make the 0.1 per cent donation to Homes for Homes every time they sell a dwelling in their development.”

Homes for Homes CEO Steven Persson was delighted to receive the cheque – although in this socially distant climate, the handover was done virtually.

“This donation from Denman Prospect will go directly towards increasing the supply of social and affordable housing in the ACT. Capital Airport Group and the community of homeowners in Denman Prospect have come together to support Homes for Homes and have played a major role in alleviating homelessness. To date, Capital Airport Group’s donations to Homes for Homes are nearing $400,000, which is simply remarkable.”
