Making Space for Good with Piccolo House
We were delighted to visit Piccolo House at their Gore Street project in Fitzroy, Melbourne recently for a special fundraiser, and to meet some of the owners who have chosen to keep their Homes for Homes promise. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the generous and community-minded spirit they have built around the project.
In addition to donating to Homes for Homes when each apartment sold — helping fund social and affordable housing in the City of Yarra — Piccolo House also brought a fun fundraising idea to life. Storage rooms were offered to a number of lucky owners via ballot, with all proceeds donated to Homes for Homes.
It was a pleasure to share the impact of this support and to see first-hand how simple, creative ideas can help create lasting change. It’s a great example of how everyone can find their own way to get involved and be part of building more homes for people who need them.
