Homes for Homes’ Housing Advisory Group Chair awarded Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division

Congratulations to Homes for Homes’ Housing Advisory Group Chair Mike Allen OAM on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division.  

As a foundational part of the organisation, Mike provided guidance on the development of Homes for Homes’ establishment and operation of our Housing Advisory Groups, and has chaired numerous Housing Advisory Groups across multiple states and territories since Homes for Homes first grant funding round in 2018, guiding each group to a successful consensus and helping deliver lasting housing outcomes.  

His commitment to Homes for Homes has been instrumental in shaping the organisation into what it is today and is reflective of his dedication and passion to improving social housing outcomes for marginalised and disadvantaged Australians. What a richly deserved honour.
